We had been looking for the right property for several months and Vinieris Real Estate regularly kept in touch answering all our questions until we found the right property. Adonis arranged our viewings and helped us with the translations, he recommended a lawyer who was brilliant and explained Greek property law to us, making it easier to understand, as we had little knowledge of this at the time. From Pat and Ron. My wife and I decided to seek the help of Adonis and George when looking for property in Kefalonia in September 2003. We wandered into Adonis and George's office and were immediately struck by their friendliness and professionalism. Not only did they show us their property but gave us their advice on buying land in Kefalonia - something we had not thought about previously. Over the four visits we made to their lovely office in Argostoli, we were driven all over the area where George showed us several plots of land, we were given lots of their time to discuss our business with them and made to feel very welcome generally. By the time we had left Kefalonia at the end of our holiday we had found our plot of land, thanks to Adonis and George, and they also introduced us to a Lawyer who said she would act for us. We are pleased to tell you that this all culminated in us buying a piece of land at Kaligata near Argostoli in February 2004 thanks to our Lawyer and Vinieris Estate Agents acting so well on our behalf.

From Keith and Lynda Lloyd. After making the decision to move to Kefalonia we looked for Real Estate Agents on the Internet and found the Vinieris Web Site and a plot of land with breathtaking views. We emailed Adonis Vinieris a few times and eventually paid a deposit to secure the land, as we were not due to visit Kefalonia for a few months. On arrival we made arrangements to meet with Adonis Vinieris and see the land, we were delighted with it. The next meeting was with Adonis at his office in Argostoli to discuss the next stage, which was to obtain a tax number without which we could not purchase the land. Adonis’s brother George took us to the Tax office and helped us through the procedure. After this they helped us open a bank account, which is obviously very easy to do in the UK but not speaking Greek we would have had difficulties. They also found us a solicitor (to whom we gave power of attorney as we would not be on the island to complete the sale of the land) and an accountant and also took us to the notary office to sort out more paperwork. They then arranged for us to meet with an Architect and discuss our requirements for the house, this we did and a few weeks after the holiday, we received some plan drawings. It may seem a bit daunting to buy land and build a house but with the help and advice from Adonis and George the whole thing was a breeze. They both have a great deal of knowledge and professionalism and a good sense of humour. We were very grateful for their help and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone. On a final note a friend of my brother who is also looking to move to Kefalonia has recently approached us and we will certainly put him in touch with Adonis Vinieris.

From Martin And Angela Weatherhead. There are many problems and risks to face when buying property abroad, but for us, this couldn't be further from the truth. We sought the help of Vinieris Real Estate and they provided a service which can only be described as exceptional. Having laid down our criteria and, of course, our budget, we were taken to some of the most beautiful places on Kefalonia until we found our dream home. This is not the end of the story however: the assistance went on to encompass the notary, law and lawyers, taxes fees and registrations until the deal was completed. It is now one year on but we still rely on the team for help with problems that crop up from time to time, and the courtesy and attention are always available. We would recommend Vinieris Real Estate without hesitation and will be eternally grateful to them for making our Kefalonian dream a reality.

From Sue and Doug. Having spent several weeks in Kefalonia last summer looking for a plot of land we eventually went into the office of Adonis and George Vinieris. We were made very welcome and it became part of our daily ritual to call in to check progress or just drink coffee and chat. Adonis and George took us to see several plots of land until we found one we fell in love with. We made an offer and a couple of weeks later, with their help and advice, it was ours. Adonis advised us how to get a Tax No. and open a bank account, he took us to the Architects office and assisted with the language barrier, arranged meetings with the Notary, Lawyer, etc.. Although they were extremely busy during August they always found the time to point us in the right direction. It was a great experience, albeit nerve wracking at times. We have great admiration for the way they handle their business, and wish them great success in their future growth and would have no hesitation in recommending their services. We will be back there in a couple of weeks when the work will commence on our Villa when we are looking forward to catching up with Adonis and George again.

For some 10 years or so now, we have been visiting Kefalonia, sometimes several times per year, and had a dream that one day we would own our own house and live there for at least part of the year. During early spring of 2004 we made our first contact by e-mail with Vinieris Real Estate, and that dream is now turning to reality. From the first moment of contact, Adonis impressed us with both his professionalism and help with information and advice. After many e mails, we travelled out to Kefalonia in May 2004, and eventually met up with Adonis and George at their offices. From that moment on, we realised that we had met some extraordinary people, and that we had chosen the right people to help make our dream come true. Previous to our meeting, Adonis and George had put us in contact with other families who had purchased through Vinieris Real Estate, again giving us more confidence with the whole process. Adonis and George were both genuinely friendly people from the outset, who were not merely interested in just doing business. After several meetings at the office, and on what turned out to be a very relaxing day, Adonis took us to view properties and land. We felt no pressure on us whatsoever during this trip, as Adonis was more concerned about getting a feel for exactly what our requirements were. Then it happened, the moment we had been waiting for, for ten years. We arrived at a plot of land on the outskirts of Kourkoumelata, and the second we got out of the car, we knew this was going to be the place we were to build our dream home. Even then, Adonis did not pressure us, and advised us not to rush into things and think about everything first. To help us with our decision, he also advised us on budget costs for building a villa with pool. That same evening, we made the decision to go ahead with the purchase of the land, but again Adonis advised us that before we committed, it would be wise to find out first if we could actually build our dream house on this particular piece of land, and we went to see the architect. Despite having a really long day, Adonis stayed with us to assist with the architect. Over the course of the following week both George and Adonis guided us through the relatively simple process of the purchase of the land, including getting a Greek tax number, setting up a bank account, and sorting out a lawyer and notary. A process, which in the UK would be such a stressful time, turned out to be a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. After coming up with a design which we have been involved in from day one, the architect will begin construction in mid September 2004, and ‘Villa Moli’ will become a reality, and be ready to furnish in April 2005. Again, thanks to Adonis and George, the whole process with the architects has been a really enjoyable experience. Because we intend to rent out the villa for part of the year, Adonis and George have also agreed to manage the property for us when built. We have made lifelong friends in Adonis and George, that is for sure, and we look forward to being close neighbours when we eventually live on the island. You all too often hear real horror stories about people buying overseas, or indeed in the UK, so it is with absolute honesty we say that the whole experience has been a pleasure, and we would not hesitate to recommend Adonis and George, and Vinieris Real Estate to anyone, both professionally, and as very good friends also.
